About Little Lodge Games

Pull Up A Chair By The Fire

Scott: One person, one lodge, and far too many spreadsheets.

This is the long version. Who runs the studio, what we make, how it gets built, and every official link in one tidy pile.

The Whole Story

Pixel art portrait of Scott Cunningham

Scott: My origin story, in journal form. No dragons. A lot of spreadsheets.

The Lodge

Little Lodge Games is an independent game studio and publisher founded by Scott Cunningham and operated as the game development and publishing arm of Scott Cunningham Services. One person, a very long list of systems, and a stubborn belief that small games can still be deep.

The lodge is the home. The games are the journeys. Every title starts humble, opens up as you learn it, and keeps rewarding the players who dig into how it actually works.

What We Make

Systems-driven games: idle and incremental progression, settlement building, statecraft, economic simulation, and strategy. Different shapes, same spine of interconnected systems, visible progression, recoverable failure, and room to find your own path.

The Final Tribute is the first full title, a dark fantasy idle settlement strategy and statecraft RPG where every tribute payment buys time until you decide to stop paying. Broke To Billions is a financial sandbox idle sim about building wealth, and losing it, in a fictional economy.

How We Build

Design in public, ship what can be explained, and no hype without proof. Devlogs and systems breakdowns come before trailers, and playtest feedback outranks a nice mockup every time.

Premium, one time purchase. No loot boxes, no pay to win, and no monetisation that sells you the solution to friction we deliberately created.

Scott: The boring numbers, the wanted poster, and the rules I refuse to break.

Scott CunninghamFounder And Solo Developer

Scott has spent 10+ years in digital marketing, content, social media, community management, and technical writing, across 120+ client accounts and brands from startups to Intel.

He runs Scott Cunningham Services, the company that owns Little Lodge Games, and hosts The Tech And Things Show alongside long form writing about tech and markets.

He now applies the same systems-first approach to games: clear rules, honest communication, and builds that hopefully survive contact with players.

Start Small

The beginnings should feel humble. The possibilities should not.

Systems Interact

Economy affects expansion. Expansion creates risk. Risk changes strategy.

Progress You Can See

Growth should show up in the world, not just in a bigger number.

Failure Makes Stories

Lose the empire, keep the game. There is always another path.

Fireside FAQ

Scott: People keep asking questions. Fine. I don't give a FAQ. But you really should read what is written on the wood before it burns.

Put Some Logs On The Fire?

Say Hello

Scott: Questions, press, publishing chats, playtest requests, or a strong opinion about tribute economics all end up in the same inbox. One person reads it, so plain questions usually work best. Or head back to the lodge and pretend none of this happened.
